Crystal Woods

As part of the Ground Icing Program for all fixed wing aircraft flown with ASD, there is an online component that is completed each year by fixed wing pilots. The course was re-designed in 2017, and adapted in to this new template that modernized the look and feel of the course, and brought in more visual appeal to separate content, as well as interactions to engage users in the course. The previous version of the course was led by audio, and users would have to wait for the voice on each slide to go through all the content, which users found was very annoying to navigate. In the redesign, the audio was made optional with a play button at the top right. This was very well received by all students, many sending lots of positive feedback about the options, as well as the visuals in the course.
